The holocaust were the places of torture and gassing for the Jews, crippled, Poles, Russians, German Blacks, Gypsies and all other so called "undesirables". Information about the holocaust had trickled out of NAZI Germany during the final years of the regime but this information was minmal and gave no real hint about what was going on. It was only after the second world war and Hitler's suicide that the world had discovered the horrors of what happened. Even though the NAZI government tried to get rid of all evidence about the things they were doing ot their own citizens, holocaust survivors wrote documents like memoirs and diaries about what was going on. One famous book was the "The Third Reich of Dreams". It described how Jews themselves began to think negatively about themselves.
