Its electronic configuration is 1s^2 2s^2 2p^2
Outermost electrons are 4
2 electrons in s and 2 electrons in p in ground state . In excited state 1 electron junps from 2s to 2p , now total 4 bonds are there. 4 bonds mean sp^3 hybridization .Similarly 3 bonds means sp^2 hybridization , 2 bonds means sp hybridization.
