They are formed due to formation of covalent bonds .

These are mainly of four types →Alkanes , alkynes , alkenes and aromatic

Saturated hydrocarbons or alkanes have single bonds only

Unsaturated hydrocarbons like alkenes and alkynes have double and triple bond respectively .

Aromatic hydrocarbons also have double bonds and are called arenes .
