A hydrogen bond is a kind of dipole dipole bond which is formed between hydrogen and strong electronegative elements such as oxygen, nitrogen and fluorine. It can be both intra molecular as well as intermolecular. Water forms hydrogen bonds below 4°C. Hydrogen bonding can be understood as a type of covalent bonding.
