if the medium surrounding the cell has a higher water concentration than the cell meaning that the outside solution is very dil liye the cell will gain water by osmosis.such solution is called as hypotonic solution.water molecules are free to pass across the cell membrane in both direction but more water will come into the cell than will leave.the net result is that water enters the cell.the cell is likely to swell up.extra information: osmosis is the passage of water from a region of high water concentration to a region of low concentration.

Answer:

HYPOTONIC SOLUTION

This is a solution in which the concerntration water molecules inside cell is less than that of outside the cell. So, the net movement of water will be from the outside of cell to inside the cell. As a result the cell will swell up. and even burst.

I hope this might be helpful.
