Explanation:

1) the production of offspring by a sexual or asexual process is called Reproduction. (refer the pic)

2) Sex refers to the gender (either male or female or sometimes even intersex or transgender) of an organism or animal(including humans).

(note: usually our school curriculum doesn't contain intersex or transgender...so ignore them)

In other words it also refers to sexual intercourse.
