Immunity is the state or ability of an organism to resist the effect of harmful microbes that enters the body.

Or

Immunity is just the ability of an organism to fight against disease causing foreign particles.

Vaccination- vaccination is the process of introducing weakened germs into an organism for the purpose of immunization and this type of immunization is called passive immunization.

Explanation:

Here, passive means introduction of any external particles into the body to strengthen the immune system while on the other hand active immunization means the immunity that your body develops during it's lifetime. Example- chicken pox.

weakened here means that the vaccine are the products of germs only that are weakened or inactivated i.e - The weakened germs no longer has the ability to cause disease in an organism but has mild effect in triggering the immune system so that the body can produce antibodies against those weakened germs and thus leave your body immune against particular disease causing organism. Example- polio vaccine contains weakened polio virus i.e the antigenicity of polio virus has been deactivated and can then trigger your immunity.
