Answer:

Immunity is the resistance or protection given against any foreign pathogen that are treated as antigens.

Any foreign substance that are not recognised by the cells in a body are treated as antigens and hence specific antibodies are produced to destroy that antigen.

Immunity are of two types- Innate and Adaptive.

Innate immune system forms the first line of defence mechanism, that a body renders when encountered with a specific antigen.

Adaptive immunity is the second line of defence mechanism that is formed after a person has already encountered antigens and specific memory B cells have been formed against it.
