RBC:They are also called erythrocytes, disc shaped, and non-nucleus. It contains a pigment which is called Haemoglobin, which gives blood its red color and transports oxygen and carbon dioxide.

WBC: Also called leukocytes, they are rounded with a nucleus . they act as the soldiers of Body’s defence system.

platelets: Also called thrombocytes
It helps the blood to clot.

Arteries: that carry oxygenated blood from the heart to various parts of the body.

Veins: that carry deoxygenated blood towards the heart.

The cells which are red due to the presence of haemoglobin are known as RBC. or red blood cells.


Erythros - red

Kytos - Cell.




WBC :--- White Blood cells or Leucocytes .


The blood cells in which haemoglobin is absent and they are white in colour are known as WBC.


their are about 5000 to 9000 WBCs per cu mm of blood .




PLATELETS :-- The small disc like cells present in blood without the nucleus are known as platelets.

It help in Blood clotting.




ARTERIES :--- Arteries are the muscular tubes of blood which helps in circulation.

The oxygenated blood flow by the arteries.

From heart to all body parts.





VEINS :-- The muscular tubes which helps in blood circulation. It is specially for deoxygeneted blood. The deoxygeneted blood flow from all body part to heart.
