Mendelian factor - it is the law which states that out of a pair of contrasting characters present together,only one is able to express itself while the other remains suppressed. The one that expresses itself is the dominant character and the one that does not is the recessive.
Allele- Alternative forms of a gene , occupying the same position on homologous chromosomes and affecting the same characteristic but in different ways.
Homologous chromosomes- A pair of chromosomes of the same shape and size, one from each parent.
