(i) Temperature:- the degree or intensity of heat present in a substance or object, especially as expressed according to a comparative scale and shown by a thermometer or perceived by touch.

(ii) Conduction:- the transfer of heat through matter by communication of kinetic energy from particle to particle with no net displacement of the particles — compare convection, radiation.

(iii) Radiation:- The three most common types of radiation are alpha particles, beta particles, and gamma rays. Alpha radiation is not able to penetrate skin.
