a form of labour widely used in the plantation from the mid nineteenth century labourer worked on the basis of contract that didn't specify any rights of labourer but gave immense power to employers. employers could bring criminal charges labourer and punish and jail them for non fulfilment of contracts

indentured labour is a oor person former timeswho agreed to work for an employer for a specific number f years. During this period of time they learnt a skill or job , but had to pay their employer for their tavelling and living costs.
