Inertia of Rest is the tendency of an object or body to continue its state of rest unless it is acted upon by an external force.
ex: (a) A person trying to get down from a running bus falls forward.
(c) Ripe fruits fall from the trees in the direction of wind.

It is the inability of a body to change by itself it's state of rest or uniform motion or direction along a straight line.
