Integer = A integer is any number that is not either a decimal or a fraction (however, both 2.000 and 2/2 are integers because they can be simplified into non-decimal and non-fractional numbers), this includes negative numbers. A whole number is any positive number(0 through infinity) (including non-integers)

Rational numbers = A number that can be made by dividing two integers (an integer is a number with no fractional part). The word comes from "ratio". Examples: • 1/2 is a rational number (1 divided by 2, or the ratio of 1 to 2) • 0.75 is a rational number (3/4)

Integer

An integer is a whole number (not a fraction) that can be positive, negative, or zero. Therefore, the numbers 10, 0, -25, and 5,148 are all integers. Unlike floating point numbers, integers cannot have decimal places.

Example : 1, 2, -1, -2

Rational Numbers

Numbers that can be written in the form of p/q where, p and q both are integers and q ≠ 0 are known as rational numbers.

Example : 3/4 , 4/5 etc.

Hope it helps :)
