Intercropping is the companion planting method of growing one crop alongside another. The purpose behind intercropping is to increase yields by doubling up on available growing space. Intercropping creates biodiversity, which attracts a variety of beneficial and predatory insects that isn’t possible with monoculture gardening.

intercropping is a practice of growing two or more crops simultaneously in a same field in definite row pattern with the objective of increasing productivity per unit area. The practice of intercropping is adopted by small farmers and where farmers have least access to irrigation. Intercropping is an improved version of mixed cropping.

Hope this help!!
