It expresses emotion of joy, sorrow, excitement, wonder surprise, pain, sadness, happiness, and so on. e.g. Oh, Wow, Hurrah, Alas, Ouch, Oops, Aha, Yahoo, Eww, e.t.c. Interjections are usually specific words such as 'Hurrah, Wow, Oh, Ouch, Huh'.
