\textbf{Answer :}

Two or more compounds having same molecular formula but different chemical and physical properties are called \textbf{Isomers.}

And this phenomena is known as Isomerism.

→ Types of Isomerism :-

a) Structural Isomerism :- Compounds having same molecular formula but different structures. It is of 6 types

* Chain Isomerism.

* Position Isomerism.

* Functional Isomerism.

* Metamerism.

* Tautomerism.

* Ring Chain Isomerism.

b) Sterioisomerism :- Isomerism having same formula but different special arrangement of atoms are called Sterio Isomerism.

It is also known as Geometrical Isomerism.

It is of 3 types :-

* Conformational Isomerism.

* Optical Isomerism.

* Geometrical Isomerism.
