In organic Chemistry the compounds which have same molecular formula but having different structural formula are called isomer of each other and the phenomenon is known as Isomerism.

Such organic compounds which have same molecular formula but differ from each other in their properties are called isomers and the phenomenon is called isomerism. It is of two types:
1. Structural isomerism.
2.Stereoisomerism.
