The compound having same molecular formula bt different from each othrr in some physical properties and some chemical properties are known as isomers and this phenomenon is known as isomerism

the phenomenon of compounds having the same molecular formula but different structural formula is called isomerism.
eg . butane, it can be n-butane or iso butane
pentane, it can be neo-pentane or n-pentane or neo pentane
