The elements which have same Atomic number, but difference in there mass number.

Example:

Hydrogen gas 3 Isotopes. They are

1] Hydrogen or Protium

This has Atomic number as 1 and mass number as 1.

2] Deuterium

This has Atomic number as 1 and mass number as 2.

3] Trtium

This has Atomic number as 1 and mass number as 3.

Isobars:

The elements which have different atomic number but same mass number are called as Isobars.

Example:

Argon and Calcium

Argon has Atomic number as 18 and mass number as 40.

Calcium has Atomic number as 20 and mass number as 40.
