Define kinetic and potential energy of a body. Give their S.I. units.
A block of mass 10kg is released from a height 10m from rest state. It falls
freely. Taking floor as reference position for potential energy, calculate
kinetic and potential energy when it is at height 4m from the floor
(Take g = 9.8ms-2)
इनके S.I.

hi

kinetic energy= the energy possessed by an object when it is in motion

potential energy= the energy possessed by an object when it is at rest.

kinetic energy=m(v²-u²) /2

potential energy=mgh

potential energy=10×10=100

Kinetic energy of a body is defined as the energy possessed by a object by virtue of its motion. It's unit is Joule (J).

Potential energy of a body is defined as the energy possessed by an object by virtue of its position. Units of potential energy is also Joe(J).

Hope it helps...
