In the 15th century, muzaffar Shah founded an independent Kingdom in Gujarat. Ahmad Shah, Mehmood Shah, and Bahadur Shah were the famous rulers of the kingdom. Fine handicrafts, busy seaports and fertile soils made Gujarat one of the richest provinces of the sultanate. His grandson Ahmad Shah shifted the capital from Patna to Ahmedabad which he founded in 1413 CE. Ahmad Shah was a great builder he made the town beautiful with many mosque, market, places and forts.His famous successive was Mahmud bagada.
In 1401 CE , Dilawar khan Ghori founded the kingdom of Malwa. Hoshang Shah was the powerful ruler of this Kingdom. He encouraged many Rajput to settle down in his Kingdom ,the kingdoms of Gujarat and Malwa were bitter revels. During the 15th century it was very powerful Kingdom its capital was Dhar, but later it was shifted to mandu. Malwa was situated on the high plateau between the rivers Narmada and tapti ,this road connecting Gujarat to North India and also North and South India passed through Malwa.
In the West, Marwar and Mewad were the two most important Kingdom. Rana kumbha made it a strong power ,The rathods ruled over award and mewad was ruled by sisodia Rajput. Maharaja maldeva was also the famous ruler of this Kingdom ,the greatest ruler of Mewar was a Rana sanga. He was the grandson of Rana kumbha he defeated the ruler of Malwa and annexed parts of his territories but later he lost the battle of khanwa against the first mughal emperor Babur in 1527 CE .
