kohlrausch examined ^• value for number of strong electrolytes and observed certain regularities in it. he noted that the difference in ^•of electrolytes such as NaX and KX is nearly constant irrespective of X taken.
on this observation he formulated the law of independent migration of ions. this law states that the molar conductivity of electrolytes can be represented as the sum of the individual contributions by anions and cations in the solution.
