Answer:

The most important apparent distinction between the lense and mirror are that mirror reflects light rays while light rays are refracted paas through lense .A mirrors have only one focal point which is in front of the mirror.

A lense has two focal points each on either side.

The classification of the lense depending on how light rays bend when they paas through the lens .

the two main types of lens are

  • concave lens
  • convex lens

concave lens :

A concave lense is flat in the middle and thicker at the edges. the concave lens is also known as the diverging lens becouse it bends the parallel light rays outward and diverges them at the focal point

convex lens :

convex lens are thick in the middle and thinner at the edges. A convex lense is also known as the converging lens becouse the light rays bend inward and converge at a point which is known as focal length
