Impulse applied to an object produces an equivalent vector change in itslinear momentum, also in the same direction. The SI unit of impulse is the newton second (N⋅s), and the dimensionally equivalent unit of momentum is the kilogram meter per second (kg⋅m/s).

Momentum--product of mass and velocity. p×v
Linear momentum--if the net external force on the system of the particle is absent or zero. Then the linear momentum of the system remain constant or conserved. It is also called conservation of linear momentum.
Formula--M1×U1+m2×u2=M1×V1+m2×v2
SI unit--newton second or kg m/s
hope it helps u........thanks.....!!!
