HELLO FRIEND!

What is lymph?

Definition: Lymph is the modified tissue fluid, slightly alkaline, which flows through lymph nodes and lymph vessels and is responsible for providing immunity to our body (Because antibodies are formed here).

Explanation:
There are many spaces (gaps between delicate cells and tissues) where blood directly cannot reach to provide nutrition and oxygen to the cells. In these spaces, the liquid portion of the blood along with WBCs (specially lymphocytes) comes out of the capillaries, and fills up in these gaps. This fluid now is known as tissue fluid.

The remaining portion of the blood then goes back directly to the heart through the Vena Cava, but the tissue fluid is not directly transported to the blood. This tissue fluid is then made to reach the heart through another set of vessels, called the lymph vessels. This fluid, when flows through these lymph vessels, get the name as "Lymph".
