Mass by mass percentage=mass of solute (in grams)/mass of solution (in grams ) X 100

It is the concentration or amount of solute present in solution in grams

Where as ,

Mass by volume = mass of solute (in grams ) / volume of solution (in ml) X 100

It is the concentration of solute present in solution in ml

Dear student...

Mass percentage = Mass of solute / Mass of solution × 100

The mass of solution is equal to the mass of solute plus the mass of solvent. That is :

Mass of solution = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent

So, we can obtain the mass of solution by adding the mass of solute and the mass of solvent.

Volume percentage = Volume of solute / Volume of solution × 100

The volume of a solution is equal to the volume of solute plus the volume of solvent. That is :

Volume of solution = Volume of solute + Volume of solvent

So, we can obtain the volume of solution by adding the volume of solute and volume of solvent.
