Hi ! Before I exactly what maths is here is a quote

Science is written in the grand book universe in the language of Maths - Gallieo

So the above quote says Maths is language through we can understand science .

If you need to measure the distance of heavenly bodies you need scientific equipments to find the answer in the language (Maths).

If you need to find gravitational power of a heavenly object . You need a number to know how powerful it is .

It is like a key to unlock this mysterious universe.

Hope this helps

Answer:

Mathematics is the science that deals with the logic of shape, quantity and arrangement. Math is all around us, in everything we do. It is the building block for everything in our daily lives, including mobile devices, architecture (ancient and modern), art, money, engineering, and even sports.

Mathematicians seek and use patterns to formulate new conjectures; they resolve the truth or falsity of conjectures by mathematical proof. When mathematical structures are good models of real phenomena, mathematical reasoning can be used to provide insight or predictions about nature. Through the use of abstraction and logic, mathematics developed from counting, calculation, measurement, and the systematic study of the shapes and motions of physical objects. Practical mathematics has been a human activity from as far back as written records exist. The research required to solve mathematical problems can take years or even centuries of sustained inquiry.

Without maths life would have been impossible. It would be very difficult to calculate many things in our life. But many people in the modern day ignore maths and hate maths to the core, but according to me it is very interesting and I love it.
