Answer:

Anything that occupies space and posses rest mass is called as Matter.

Types :

Solid Matter

Solids can't be compressed much.

Solids have fixed shape and volume.

Solids have high densities.

Solids do not fill the container completely.

Solids do not flow.

They have Maximum force of attraction between their particles.

Particles of solid have negligible kinetic energy.

Particles of Solid have very less or negligible spaces between them.

Liquid Matter

Liquids can be compressed a little.

Liquids do not have fixed shape but have fixed volume.

Liquids have moderate to high densities.

Liquids do not fill the container completely.

Liquids generally flow easily.

They have moderate force of attraction between their particles.

Particles of liquid have moderate kinetic energy.

Particles of liquid have some spaces between them.

Gas Matter

Gases do not have fixed shape and volume.

Gases can be highly compressed.

Gases have low densities.

Gases fill the container completely.

Gases flow easily.

They have negligible force of attraction between their particles.

Particles of gases have high kinetic energy.

Particles of gases have much spaces between them.

Hope it helps.
