MATTER IS ANYTHING THAT HAVE MASS AND OCCUPY SPACE.

States of matters are usually of three types i.e. solid, liquid and gaseous (There are also two other types i.e. plasma and Bose-Einstein condensate). For e.g. wood is in the solid state, oil is in liquid state and oxygen is in the gaseous state.

Answer:

MATTER

Anything that occupies space and has weight is called matter.

matter can range from something as small as a needle to something as big.

so everything we see is called matter.infact we can't see air but since air has weight and occupies space,it is also called matter.

state of matter

Matter exists in three different states

matter:

(1) Solid

(2) Liquid

(3) Gas

The best example to understand the states of matter is by taking water . Take a glass of water . it is in liquid State . when we put

water in an ice tray and keep it in a freezer

for sometime,it become ice i.e., solid.if we put the same glass of water in a pan and heat it,it becomes gas(steam).
