States of Matter

Generally, there are three states of matter :

  • Matter : Anything that occupies space and has mass.

States of Matter :

  1. Solid : Molecules in solids are tightly packed. For eg. Table, Ice etc.
  2. Liquids : Molecules in liquids are packed neither loosely nor tightly. They are packed a little far from each other. For eg.Water ,Juice.
  3. Gases : Molecules in gases are very far from each other and are very loosely packed. For eg. Oxygen, Nitrogen, Helium etc.
