b) Give reasons for the following:

i) A liquid generally flows easily.

ii) Ice at 00C appears colder to the mouth than water at 00C.Why?

iii) Doctors advise to put stripes of wet cloth on the forehead of a person having high

temperature.

Anything which occupies space,has mass and volume is called Matter.
i)Solid State
ii)Gaseous State

b)
i) bcoz the the inter molecular attraction is not very good.
ii)bcoz ice has the hidden energy or latent heat inside it.
iii)As by putting Wet cloth on forehead The process of evaporation will take place..and the person will feel better...

Matter is anything that occupies space and have mass.

(i) Solid
(ii) Gas

(b) (i) A liquid flows because it has very weak inter molecular attraction.
(ii) The Ice is a solid at 0°C but when it is put in the mouth, due to latent heat of fusion, it becomes water.
(iii) When we put the stripe of wet cloth on the forehead of a person having high temperature, there it happens a phenomenon of evaporation. Due to this phenomenon, the temperature decreases.
