Mean: Mean is the average of all the data in a particular observation. Mean can be obtained by dividing the sum of all the data by number of observations. e.g. Mean of the data 1, 2 and 3 will be 2.

Median: Median is the number which lies just in the middle of all observations when arranged in either increasing or decreasing order. e.g. The median of 3, 1 and 2 would be 2.

Mode: Mode is the observation which comes most frequently. e.g. The mode of the data 1,1,1,2,2,3,3,3,3,3 and 4 would be 3 as it is coming more frequently.

Here is your answer

Mean The average of the given data is known as mean.

Mean = Sum of observation/Number of observation.

For example

7,8,5,6,7,8,9,4,5,6

to find out the mean of following data we will apply the above formula.

7+8+5+6+7+8+9+4+5+6/10

65/10

6.5 is the mean

Median= The middle term of a series is called Median

For odd term we apply formula= n+1/2

For even= n/2 th is average and n/2 +1 th is the median

example

20,22,23,25,26,28,31,32,34,35

n/2th = 10/2term + 10/2+1th

26+28/2= 27

Mode Highest frequency

ex

8,7,2,4,2,6,2,1,5,1

here 2 is the mode
