⏪ Lipids are synthesized in smooth endoplasmic reticulum ( ER ) where no ribosomes are present on its surface.

⏪ But, the proteins are synthesized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum having ribosomes on its surface, which are the source for protein synthesis.
