Answer:
- A metal is a material that, when freshly prepared, polished, or fractured, shows a lustrous appearance, and conducts electricity and heat relatively well. Metals are typically malleable or ductile. A metal may be a chemical element such as iron, or an alloy such as stainless steel.metals can be classified on the basis of their properties like ductility, malleability, sonority etc
- Nonmetal or non-metal is a chemical element that does not have the properties of a metal. Some are gases including: hydrogen, helium, oxygen, nitrogen, fluorine, neon, or radon and many others. An example of a solid that is a nonmetal is sulfur. It is yellow and not shiny at all.
