Metals :-
Metals are the solid substances which are usually hard , sonorus , mellable , ductile and good conductors of heat and electricity.
EXAMPLES--

☆copper
☆iron
☆aluminium
☆mercury

Non-metals :-
These are the substances which are soft and dull in appearance.They break into powdery mass when beaten with a hammer.They are not sonorus and are poor conductors of heat and electricity.
EXAMPLES--
☆carbon
☆sulphur
☆silicon
☆chlorine
☆nitrogen
