Chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, manganese, magnesium, molybdenum, selenium, zinc, and other elements that occur in very small amounts (usually less than 1 to 10 parts per million) as constituents of living organisms, and are necessary for their growth, development, and health.

A micro element or trace element is a chemical element whose concentration is very low (a "trace amount").

in simple language:- the elements which are present in less amount /concentration / quantity are called micro or trace elements.

Some examples of trace elements within the human body are cobalt, copper, fluorine, iodine, iron, manganese and zinc.
