The discharge of urine from the bladder. It is brought about by reflex contraction of the detrusor muscle after voluntary relaxation of the sphincter muscle at the junction of the bladder with the urethra

The other term for micturition is urination. It is the process in which the sphincter muscles of the urethra relaxes and allows the urine to be removed from the body. The urine flows from the kidneys through the ureters and get stored in the urinary bladder before finally being removed from the body through the urethra.

Hope it helps!!!
