Hii..

There are mainly two types of reproduction in organisms.

1) Sexual reproduction - it is carried out in higher organisms usually and it has an involvement of two parents .The number of chromosomes in the offsprings are retained and variation is seen in the progeny.
The parent identity is not lost in this type of reproduction .Vertebrates usually show sexual reproduction.

2) Asexual reproduction - In this type of reproduction only single parent is involved and it us usually carried out by unicellular or microscopic organisms.
Asexual reproduction is of many types like binary fission in amoeba,fragmentation in spirogyra etc.
The parent identity may or may not be lost after reproduction.

( ♠️ ) Asexual reproduction
=> The production of new individuals by a single parent without the involvement of gametes is called a sexual reproduction since fusion of gametes is not involved, zygotes are not formed in Asexual Reproduction the young ones produced are the exact copy of their parents. Amoeba, Hydra, East etc reproduced by asexual reproduction.
