Molarity is the term of chemistry.

It is defined as the number of moles of solute in a solution divided by the number of litres of solution.

It is used to calculate the concentration of solution.

Its SI unit is mol/L i.e. mol per litre.

It is denoted by M.

For any solution having molarity 10 mol/L will said to be 10M .

 \mathsf{\underline {\Large {Molarity}}} :

Molarity of the solution may be defined as the number of moles of solute present in 1 l solution.

 \boxed{\mathsf{Molarity = {\dfrac{ Number of moles of solute} {Volume of solution ( l ) }}}}

 \boxed{\mathsf{Molarity = {\dfrac{ Number of moles of solute * 1000} {Volume of solution ( ml ) }}}}

⚫It is represented as 'M'.

⚫The unit of Molarity is  \mathsf{\underline {moles\: per \:litre\: ( \:mol \:{L}^{-1}}}) .

⚫Molarity of a solution changes with temperature due to the accompanied changes in volume of solution. As mass remains constant, so it doesn't change with temperature in the case of Molality, but volume varies with temperature in case of Molarity.

 \textsf{\underline {NOTE}} : 5 Molar ( M ) solution means that 5 moles of solute are present in 1 l of solution.
