The concept of Mole should be cleared to pursue higher studies in Chemistry.

Definitions for Mole:

Mole is defined as the amount of the substance which contain number of atoms present in 12g of C-12.
OR
Mole is defined as the number of molecules that are present in gram molecular mass of any substance at NTP or STP.
OR
Mole can aslo be defined as number of molecules present in 22.4 L or dm³ of a gas at NTP.

THUS,

1 Mole = Molucular Mass = 22.4 L or dm³
= 6.023 × 10²³ molucules

Equations for Mole based on various definitions:

1. Number of moles of molucules = Weight in g / Molecular Weight

2. Number of moles of atoms = Weight in g / Atomic Weight

3. Number of moles of gases = Volume at NTP / Standard Molar Volume, where Standard Molar Volume = 22.4 L

4. Number of moles of atoms or molecules or ions or electrons = no. of atoms or molecules or ions or electrons / Avogadro Constant

5. Number of moles of solute = molarity × volume of solution in litres

Hope you have got an idea what is mole and its different concepts! Thank you!
