molecular mass is the mass of any molecule.

it's actually the mass of all atoms constituting the molecule.

to calculate the molecular mass, we must know the atomic mass of atoms.

for example :- h2O is a molecule.

to calculate it's molecular mass, we can simply add atomic mass of hydrogen and oxygen.

atomic mass of hydrogen is 2u.

and atomic mass of oxygen is 16u

here the no. of hydrogen atom is 2. therefore it's total atomic mass = 2 × 2 = 4u

hence, molecular mass of hydrogen = atomic mass of 2 hydrogen atoms + atomic mass of oxygen

= 4u + 16u

= 20u

in this way, you can calculate the molecular mass of any molecule.
