Hey there!

The moment of couple refers to a pair of forces that having equal magnitude acting in inverse directions and is set apart at a certain distance.

When the forces are equal and inverse to each other, they cancel out each other and the resultant force is always zero (0) for a couple.

It creates rotational motion only and there is no translation motion.

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

Moment of couple = Either force * Perpendicular distance between the two forces (or couple arm).
