Answer:

The quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity.The unit of momentum is the product of the units of mass and velocity. In SI units, if the mass is in kilograms and the velocity is in meters per second then the momentum is in kilogram meters per second (kg⋅m/s).A cricket ball is not very heavy but when it is thrown with high velocity,it acquires a large momentum and sometimes hurts the batsman.

Answer:

  1. the quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity.

Unit.

p = m *v

p = kg m/s

2.The very simple reason is that the force acting on the cricket ball is much more than the force acting on a tennis ball. Moreover the mass of the cricket ball is very heavy as compared to tennis . So, when greater force is applied then the ball striking the spectator will also injured him more severely.
