A monomial is a polynomial with one term. For example- 1x, 2y

A binomial is a polynomial with two terms. For example- 2z +y, y+x

A trinomial is a polynomial with three terms. For example- 45y+ 7x- 6z, 3k+ab+ 6a

A polynomial is an equation or an algebraic expression which consists of variables and coefficients and has one or more terms in it. For example- 8x+ 4y+3z+ ab, ab +bc

Answer:

  • A monomial is a polynomial with exactly one term. A binomial has exactly two terms, and a trinomial has exactly three terms. example = x^{2} y -5xy^{2}, 5x^{2}
  • binomial—A polynomial with exactly two terms is called a binomial. . Examples: y -7x^{2} -6 + x^{2}
  • trinomial—A polynomial with exactly three terms is called a trinomial. example: x^{2} +5^{2} - 25 ,  a^{3} - 16^{b} + 10.
