A stock Macintosh mouse only has one button, but you can replace it with another mouse that has as many buttons as you want.

A stock PC mouse has 2 buttons. The left button doing the regular mouse stuff, and the right button bringing up a contextual menu (a menu that changes depending on what you click on) - The Macintosh has a contextual menu also, I think you hold the control key on the keyboard and click the only mouse button to get it. Also, on PC’s you can replace the mouse with any you like better.

Most PC mice have a scroll wheel also, and then most of those, have a button in the wheel itself. A Standard Macintosh mouse doesn’t have that, but you can add it if you want. (I recommend it) also there are some mice that are kind of molded to the shape of your right hand, and some of those have two buttons above where the right thumb would rest, and they default to the forward and back buttons in individual windows as well as in Web Browsers. It’s very convenient.
