multimedia is either the combinations of expressive communist action media to present a singula point ,topic or message

Or it can refer to the mediums that can be combine to present said message

So it's basically combining images ,text and music

Most peaple will say Video or relate it to the digital age but that's bogus as one video is just still images played in quick succession to give the illusion of movement and two digital has opened the concept of multimedia up to the general population rather than small groups of specialists

So yes we have had multimedia since the 1890’s

As films, cartoons, tv all are versions of multimedia presentation where today it's exploded to electronic billboard and other digital displays DVD menus and so much more
