central nervous system mostly is made up of brain and spinal cord. The brain is located inside the skull. It is protected by meninges. A fluid called cerebrospinal fluid is present between the meninges. The brain is mainly divided into three parts. They are fore brain, mid brain and hind brain. Forebrain again divides into two forms i.e telencephalin and diencephalon. In telencephalon, cerebrum is mainly responsible for site, intelligence and memory. Cerebellum is present in hind brain which is mainly responsible for maintaining our body balance. Spinal cord is the continuation of medulla or brain stem.
Nerve impulses (or messages) are transferred from one neuron to another in the nervous system.
