Neutralisation simply means a reaction between an acid and a base to form Salt and water.

Examples are:-

  • HCl + NaOH ---> NaCl + H2O

Here, Hydrochloric acid combines with a base, Sodium Hydroxide, to form Salt (Sodium Chloride) and Water. This is called Neutralisation Reaction. The acid and the base nullify each other's effect and the resulting solution becomes neutral.

Answer:

neutralization reaction is when anacid and base react to form water and salt and involves the combination of H+ions and OH-ions to generate water.the neutralization of strong acid and base PH value is equal to 7

example:HCl(aq) + KOH(aq) → H 2O(ℓ) + KCl(aq) ...
