Newton's first law state that a body moving in a straight line/ at rest remains in it's position unless compelled by some external force to do so.

hope it helps you out dude

stephen0977: Newton's First Law states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force. It may be seen as a statement about inertia, that objects will remain in their state of motion unless a force acts to change the motion.

\huge\underline{Newton's\:Law}

It states that a without any external force a body remain in its position of rest or motion.

This is also called law of inertia becuase inertia is the property of a object to remain in its position of rest or motion.
